Skydive Croatia Helps Set a New World Record on World Skydiving Day 2026
Last Saturday, Skydive Croatia proudly took part in the biggest global skydiving event of the year – World Skydiving Day 2026. Together with skydivers, first-time tandem passengers, and drop zones from around the world, we contributed to setting a new world record for the highest number of skydives completed in a single day.
According to the official results, 31,075 skydives were completed worldwide on July 11, 2026, surpassing last year's record of 30,351 jumps. As a participating drop zone, Skydive Croatia received an official Certificate of Achievement recognizing our contribution to this historic milestone.
What is World Skydiving Day?
World Skydiving Day is an international initiative created by the world's leading skydiving organizations to promote the sport and introduce more people to the incredible experience of skydiving. Held annually on the second Saturday of July, the event brings together licensed skydivers, tandem students, instructors, and drop zones across the globe with one common goal: to make as many safe skydives as possible in a single day and set a new world record.
What makes this event truly unique is that every single jump counts. Whether it's your first tandem skydive or your 5,000th jump, you become part of a worldwide community sharing the same passion for flight and adventure.
