Estimated Cost of Skydiving Training up to the USPA A License
The estimated cost of obtaining a USPA A skydiving license, assuming the student progresses according to the USPA training program, consists of both fixed and variable costs. Fixed costs include theoretical training, the required training jumps, and equipment rental. Variable costs include parachute packing, which is gradually transferred from the instructor to the student as the student learns to pack independently, the medical examination, which is not included in the training price, as well as USPA membership and license issuance fees.

After successfully completing Category E, the student is cleared for self-supervision in freefall and has completed the AFF program. |

Coach Program (Categories F–H) – Jumps from 3000–4000 mA minimum of 9 jumps as part of the skydiving training program through Categories F–H from altitudes of 3000–4000 meters. Certain jumps may need to be repeated if the student does not meet the required performance objectives. After successfully completing Category H, the student has met all training requirements for the USPA A License, except for the minimum requirement of 25 total jumps if this has not already been achieved, and has completed the Coach program. |

The following additional costs may apply:
- Additional solo jumps required to reach the minimum total of 25 jumps, performed without direct instructor supervision.
- Parachute packing is charged until the student demonstrates the ability to pack a parachute independently.
- Any additional jumps required to meet the 25-jump requirement for the license. These may be solo jumps or jumps used to repeat required training exercises.
- The cost of the skydiving medical examination depends on the medical facility where it is performed. A list of approved facilities can be found here: Skydiving Medical Examination.
- USPA membership, which is mandatory for participation in AFF training.
- USPA A License issuance fee, payable directly to USPA.
